December 2007 Inspirational Message
December 11th, 2007
Greetings All You Holiday Junkies!
Have you overspent yet? Be careful this holiday season, as overspending seems to be the common theme. Last year, people were pretty thrifty, but this year “re-gifting” seems to be a thing of the past.
The new year is going to be a time of great abundance for all of you! I hate to say it again and again, but all you procrastinators better get with it. This year is NOT the time to rest on your laurels. Opportunities will arise that involve you taking BIG risks, without any promises of how things will end up. In 2009, things will stabilize and whatever opportunities were seized in 2008 will continue to grow.
However, if you do not take these opportunities when they present themselves, they may not come around again, so jump on the roller coaster! I’m not saying that this year is going to be smooth sailing, it’s not. It will be a WILD RIDE for most of you. But don’t we all need more adventure? I know I do.
This past year involved too much introspection and self-work that wasn’t really comfortable. But make way, because you are now ready to embark on the biggest adventure of your life! But no one’s going to force you on the ride. You can always sit back and watch from the sidelines. It’s certainly safer, but do you really want to miss it?
Just to clarify – I’m not only referring to opportunities coming TO YOU, but also tough decisions you may have to make to open the door to receive these opportunities. They aren’t going to happen magically. You have to do the work too. If you have been waiting to make some tough decisions in your life to make it better, you should probably wait no longer. These new opportunities cannot come in until you allow them.
I don’t want to hear ANY EXCUSES for not taking responsibility for your life. Too many people whine about how horrible life is, but fail to do anything about their circumstances. As many of you know, I’m not one to tell you want you want to hear — but will tell you what to do to make it better.
I am a big fan of getting into the SOLUTION with life’s problems. If you want to know more about this, I would recommend, “How To Stop Worrying and Start Living” by Dale Carnegie.
Have a great holiday season! I’m so excited for all of you.
Blessings!
Marisa
